My Roman Shrine

I've decided to attempt, again, to post my Roman shrine. Shrines were very important during the days that Rome was pagan and they are still important today. My shrine isn't that big, or impressive, and that's how I like it. I hope that you enjoy it and it gives you some ideas. The shrine is dedicated to Juno, Diana, Fortuna, Isis, and Sekhmet. I have food and wine that I offered and in the photo that I attempted to post the incense was burning. Enjoy.

Roman Holiday's for October

Starting this month I'm going to be posting Roman holiday's. It's important to put these up so that people know which god will be honored on which day. You don't have to do them all but there are three basic ones that do happen. Here are the ones for this month. 1 KALENDS 4: Ieiunium Cereris, a day of fasting in honour of Ceres 6: dies ater ("black day") to mark the anniversary of the battle of Arausio (105 BC) 7 NONES: rites for Jupiter Fulgur (Jupiter of daytime lightning) and Juno Curitis 10: JUNO MONETA 11: Meditrinalia 13: Fontinalia in honour of Fons 15 IDES: October Horse sacrifice to Mars 16: Lupinalia, the Festival of Wolves 19: Armilustrium, a dies religiosus in honour of Mars

Welcome to my Blog

This is the first post that I'm making and I want to welcome everyone to my blog. This is for my Roman Reformist religion, which is honoring the Roman gods in a more modern manner. I've been one for over a year, which I'm very proud of. I hope that you'll enjoy my blog and I will be posting things like holiday's, articles, and so on. Have fun and may the gods bless you.
